Olin Dows was a lifelong friend and neighbor to Franklin D. Roosevelt, and an artist involved in New Deal art projects like the Hyde Park Post Office murals. He was also the author of the 1949 book Franklin Roosevelt at Hyde Park, a personal account illustrated with his own drawings, showcasing their close relationship and Dows' artistic contributions during the Roosevelt era.

The Mortal Storm follows the Roth family as their lives unravel in 1933, following Hitler's rise to power. Starring James Stewart, Margaret Sullavan and Frank Morgan. Named one of Film Daily’s Ten Best Films of 1940. This screening is in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Dutchess County to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

Franklin Roosevelt's Birthday Celebration
Rose Garden and Wallace Center Time: 3pm ET
The National Park Service will hold a Rose Garden Ceremony to commemorate Franklin Roosevelt's Birthday.
Following the ceremony, the FDR Presidential Library will invite attendees to return to the Wallace Center for birthday cake and refreshments.
This is a free, public event.
