Program Description:

No couple in American history had a more significant impact on our society than Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. Together they transformed the very concept of what a democratic government should do for its people, what rights its citizens have, and even what constitutes fundamental human rights for all people. In their battle for equality and justice, they used every weapon at their disposal: their famous name, their wealth, the power of the federal government, radio, newspapers, magazines, and public opinion. But their most effective weapons were words. Their words brought hope to a desperate world, comfort to those suffering poverty and discrimination, and a vision of a better world for those crushed by totalitarian oppression and hatred.

Please contact Cliff Laube at (845) 486-7745 with questions about the event.
