In four sessions, authors of recently-published books on Hudson Valley history will talk about their recent works followed by book signings in the Wallace Center. Featured authors include Joseph E. Diamond, Moira Fitzgibbons, Anthony P. Musso, and Libbie Werlau. Hosted by The FDR Library and the Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District.

Before there was texting, communicating could be a lot more complicated. Jeffrey Urbin looks at telegrams, telephones, and typewriters, oh my, along with some examples sent from famous people to the Roosevelts in our Signature Moments special exhibit.
Lyndon Johnson, then a 36-year-old Representative from Texas, was one of 100 politicians who benefited from coaching from FDR. Johnson would tell the press he felt like he'd lost a Daddy when FDR died, crediting him with why he ran for office.
