In honor of Memorial Day Weekend, the Great Lawn in front of the FDR Library will take on the appearance of a World War II encampment with WWII military displays, soldiers in battle dress and period military vehicles of all sizes.
Be sure to visit the Hyde Park Education Foundation's Fifth Annual Field of Honor® next door at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site throughout the weekend.
Former FDR Library Director, Paul Sparrow, and Former Eisenhower Library Director, Dawn Hammett, discuss the relationship between these two leaders at a crucial moment in world history.

FDR advised the nation during a November 17, 1942 speech, “Loose talk delays victory. Loose talk is the damp that gets into powder. We prefer to keep our powder dry.” This Great Dane keeps it simple, "Watch Yourself Pal!"
Nazi forces attacked the Low Countries – The Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg – on May 10th, 1940. The invasions had not come as a complete surprise, for Germany had been at war with Great Britain and France since the previous September and had invaded Denmark and Norway in April.
