In four sessions, authors of books on Hudson Valley history – including Robert & Johanna Titus, Cheryl and Will Cass, Michael Burgess, and Susan Stessin-Cohn – will discuss their work followed by book signings in the Wallace Center.

The New Deal produced an extraordinary range of new legislation to rescue the country from the Great Depression. To pass these new programs, FDR had to balance varying interests that often resulted in inequitable outcomes along racial lines. This installment of Seeds of Change examines these divides.

In his early career, Taos sculptor Ted Egri worked as an artist both for the WPA and as a mapmaker in the US Navy before settling in New Mexico. These Educational Services posters were designed by Egri in 1945.
Fala was born on April 7, 1940, and given to the President by Mrs. Augustus G. Kellogg of Westport, CT, through Franklin Roosevelt's cousin, Margaret "Daisy" Suckley.
